A Mobile Laboratory Van (MLV) is a fully automated and self-dependent water quality monitoring unit which moves from place to place in a designated area to collect and test water samples from spot sources and piped water distribution outlets. A Mobile Laboratory Van allows multi-site testing without the hassles of building, commissioning and maintaining fixed installations, samples can be tested on site on the same day allowing significant geographical coverage for a relatively low capital cost, the deployment of an MLV results in saving of man hours and time with respect to sampling and data updating. The MLV which is fully equipped with Audio-Visual Aids can be used as an effective means of IEC for spreading awareness among the masses.
